Poet’s Lullaby

Peeking out the window I long to escape Myself A prisoner restrained within the dampened walls of paranoia I covet the need to be free- From myself I cannot live in this world But I refuse to kill myself Or better yet let you kill me Peeking out the window Anyone who would be watching me Would see nothing They would only see a dead soul Whose hand moves atop the paper Tis I or the wind Who occasionally turn the page I hear For I am not deaf, I see For I am not blind, I said it once I don’t repeat I care not I simply do not care Hiding from the hunters the hunters of death I feel them reach for me with they’re skeletal hands they reach for me cherishing the blood of a poet The deafening noise, Tis but the sound of silence, Darkness falls with not a cloud in sight No moisture is near Yet I fear I will drown It’s the pen I use it’s the ink that pours through From beneath a withered hand and bled onto paper What was once mundane quickly turns sinister A fiend within my soul; a soul within a monster Tis consoled and construed into a poet’s lullaby…

This Was More than an anti Wrinkle Face Cream…

love to try new things, especially moisturizers and beauty products. When I bought this new anti wrinkle face cream I had no idea what I was in for… It is loaded with all sorts of nourishing ingredients that help to prevent wrinkles but it also has this skin firmer that sort of tightens your skin for an immediate effect. After I applied it the first time I felt like I had a face lift! My skin was positively taught! When I finished my make up and put on that new lip plumper lip gloss my lips started to burn… I was afraid to go outside!

I believe in aging gracefully…NOT! Why should I buy anti wrinkle face cream? Because I do not want to shrivel up, thats why. An ounce of prevention, right? As I have gotten older my skin has begun to feel a lot dryer and it seems that face creams that help to prevent wrinkles are the ones that help alleviate the dryness the best. these creams have the right ingredients for mature skin and if they can help to prevent or diminish the appearance of wrinkles then I am all for that! I am not going to go down without a fight.

Cosmetic Dentistry - Teeth Whitening

Teeth become discolored for a number of reasons. A few normal reasons for teeth discoloration include staining, aging and chemical damage. Coffee, tea, soda and cigarettes are a few of the leading contributors to discolored teeth. Besides from staining, genetics and disease can also play a role in changing the color of one’s teeth. Everyone has different genes, and it is sometimes impossible to determine why someone’s teeth are discolored. We do however know that a teeth whitening procedure can always help restore one’s teeth back to their original, white color.

Many people want to know how white their teeth are going to get after undergoing a teeth whitening procedure. While this question has a very subjective answer, many procedures can whiten your teeth up to nine shades lighter. Two or three shades can usually make a very significant difference in just about anyone’s smile.

Bleaching of the teeth is a chemical process used to lighten the shade of one’s teeth. This procedure is usually performed at the dentist’s office and sometimes can be done in the comfort of one’s home, using the materials provided by their dentist. Before the procedure begins, a custom tray is sculpted to match the patient’s mouth. This ensures a correct amount of whitening solution is used and that it is spread evenly throughout all of the teeth. At home, this procedure can last for two to three hours in which you will have the tray and solution in your mouth. Depending on your desired results, sometimes the tray is required to sit overnight.

Money - Is Enough Good Enough?

How are you doing financially? Are you making enough money?

Chances are you’ll answer that you’re doing okay. You generally have enough money to put food on the table and pay the bills, and maybe even save a bit for a holiday or rainy day. But why settle for enough?

Do you know what enough means?

It means JUST enough for what you need. No surplus. None left over. No extra. Can’t be any clearer than that.

I’ve always had enough to do whatever I’ve wanted. But even though I had enough, often I still didn’t do what I’d have liked because then I’d have had less money left. I was looking at my abundance in the wrong way. I was actually keeping myself at the ‘having just a bit more than enough level’ and doing okay.

So do you want to do better than okay?

If the answer’s ‘no, I’m fine’ then that’s fine too, but I’m wondering why you are reading this. Most people aspire to having more money than what they’ve got. Heck even the wealthy want more of it. The only difference is they don’t hope for more money as desperately as the people with just enough or not quite enough.

In truth you can never have too much money. If you do get too much money, heck it’s easy enough to give away isn’t it?

The world is flooded with many trillions of dollars worth of money that circulates every day. There is more than enough for everyone. If it was all evenly redistributed there’d be enough for every man, woman and child to be a multi-millionaire!

For most people just ONE paltry million dollars would be plenty for them to live a life of ease for the rest of their life.

With so much money available in the world it’s almost inconceivable that over 97% of it is in the hands of less than 3% of the people on the planet.

How can this be so?

We might come up with lots of reasons why some have so much and yet many have so little but there’s really only one answer at the very root of it.

That is, those few BELIEVE the abundance is there.

What’s that you say? You believe it too. Then why haven’t you got a bigger share if it? I said I believed it too for years yet I only ever had just a bit more than enough. See the problem is we can easily say we believe in abundance because we’d really like to believe in it but the truth is we don’t.

Somewhere deep in our unconscious minds there is a (false) belief that contradicts what we say we believe.

We say we believe that money is abundant and wealth is rightfully ours (and it is). But we don’t really believe it.

Most of our real beliefs are unconscious and every day our autopilot uses them as the programming for our actions. We are totally unaware of it.

So if we really don’t believe that money is abundant we cannot help but act accordingly. That is, we fret over yet another expense, rising prices, and people ripping us off; we baulk at giving those extra dollars to the charity collector; we choose items on the basis of price rather than value; we cut down on our gifts to others and so forth.

The abundance of money (and other things such as love and happiness) which is there will only come to us when we really believe money is abundant. Now before you can change your old ideas to the new beliefs of course, you have to first believe that your real beliefs are:

  1. unconscious
  2. false
  3. holding you back

Then and only then can more of the abundance be yours. I’ll give you a chance to mull this over before providing some ideas on how to change old beliefs.

Aha’s For Normalizing Combination Skin

Often the biggest frustration for those with combination skin is caring for it properly. Having both dry and oily skin areas on your face can make skin care seem almost impossible. There are, however, things that you can do to care for and keep your combination skin healthy and feeling good.

For one thing, some areas of your face may feel tight after you wash. This will typically be on the parts of your face not included in the T-zone area. These areas will likely also look flaky and dull and may feel rough.

First of all, make sure you are cleansing every day. Use a mild cleanser on your entire face. Use the cleanser twice a day, preferably before bed at night and after get up in the morning. These are the times your face most needs to be cleansed anyway, but if you have combination skin it is imperative.

Get a good moisturizer. Once you have identified which parts of your face are the dry parts, most likely these areas are not in the T-zone and this is the area you will treat. Use the moisturizer on those dry areas only. Using it in your oily T-zone will only make that area worse.

The goal when you have combination skin is to normalize it. Normalizing is trying to gain a balance between the oily and dry areas so that all your skin looks and feels the same. In order to accomplish this feat, you want to look for products that are made for such normalization. For instance, ones that contain alpha hydroxyl acids (fruit acids or AHA’s) or retinols will work best. Retinols are a vitamin A derivative. Such products should help you to gain more normal and even looking skin.

The reason AHA creams are so beneficial to your skin is that they area catalyst for skin cell regeneration. By burning off or removing the top layer of skin cells (or the too oily and too dry ones) they expose the healthier skin cells beneath them. These cells are more likely to absorb moisturizers. They also help improve skin elasticity through their water-binding properties. This can help with that “tight” feeling you may get in the dry areas with your combination skin. The only thing about which you need to be aware is that once you are using AHA’s, you need to continue using them. Once you stop, your cells will not regenerate at the rate they were with the AHA and will return to their original state very soon.

Tooth Whitening: Power of the Smile

It is said that the face is the mirror of the human mind. A beautiful face achieves results or good first impressions easily while the opposite provides an uphill struggle. Not surprisingly, our teeth draw in a great deal of attention and are a significant factor in judging attractiveness, so a clean, white smile can play a crucial role in how you are first perceived by many. Lustrous teeth portray our confidence and eventually help us to win the hearts of those we interact with.

Tooth whitening is a way of brightening the natural color of our teeth. This should be done without removing any of the tooth’s surfaces and enamels. Enamels should not be affected during the process of tooth whitening as this may result in tooth decay and eventual failure, so harsher methods should not be applied despite their bleaching potency. It is not possible to make a complete color change; instead the existing shades are simply lightened.

One of the largest contributors to discolored teeth is the fact that we have moved away from the natural style of living and eating. The processed foods and drinks such as tea, coffee, red wine, as well as habits like smoking and drinking, are continuously staining our teeth. Tarter can also affect the color of our teeth.

Tooth whitening, also referred to as tooth bleaching, is an effort to remove these stains and discoloration. It is an aesthetic dentistry technique to lighten pigmentation within the teeth.

Professional bleaching is the most common form of tooth whitening; hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide is commonly used for this purpose. This liberates oxygen to the teeth and oxidizes stains and cracks, thereby brightening the tooth color. For this process the gums are usually first covered with gels, and special trays are used to apply the materials. Normally this will be finished within 30-minutes to one hour.

Apart from this conventional cleaning, laser whitening methods (also referred to as power whitening ) are regularly employed now. In this process, after protecting gums with a suitable cover a bleaching product is painted onto the teeth. This product is then activated via laser beams, whereupon the light catalyzes the chemical reaction of the whitening product. This teeth whitening method is faster compared to the aforementioned one, and is more effective too. It can make your teeth six to eight shades lighter, but even though it has these advantages it is a far more costly option.

With at-home tooth whitening options, the dental patient has the bleaching materials with them at home and performs bleaching treatments of their own. Be careful, because this method lacks proper supervision and thus requires diligent application. Whitening teeth with peroxide bleaching compounds has become an extremely popular procedure, and as such whitening toothpastes are readily available in the markets. However they do not affect the natural color of your teeth, for they are aimed at removing the stains in the teeth thereby giving a better appearance to them.

In dental clinic based tooth whitening, it is done in a professional way under total supervision. They start with examining the health of the teeth, such as checking the teeth for cavities since tooth whitening gels can damage the cavities in the teeth. So as the first step any cavities are repaired, then the teeth are cleaned of any lingering plaque. A tray is then customized to fit the client’s mouth. This custom prepared mouth tray with whitening gel is fitted and kept as such for ten to twenty days.

The effects of professional tooth whitening can last up to three years. However, the life of the result may vary from person to person and the living habits of each person. For persons that have smoking habits, alcoholics etc., the effect is not likely to last as long. Such habits can re-lodge stains and cavities in the teeth.

A few side effects are often reported after the tooth whitening. Some people find that their teeth have become sensitive to cold during or after the treatment. To a few, discomfort in the gums, a sore throat or white patches on the gum line occur due to teeth whitening. It is found that these symptoms are not long lasting to majority of the people. Any prolonged problem can be the results of other factors which require immediate attention of a dentist.

As shown above, once decolorized, the advance dental clinics can restore or create whiter teeth for us, but this can be maintained or its effects can be delayed if good practices are followed. It is advisable to brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. Excessive intake of sugar products are to be avoided. Alcoholic drinks and smoking habits are also not to be practiced, or at the least bit should be minimized. By following these basic practices, our teeth will offer a prolonged glow if supplemented by a yearly visit to a dentist.
