Omni Solutions Signs Backup and Recovery Contract with SafeData

SafeData has reportedly landed a deal with consultancy firm Omni Solutions under its business partner program.
In a statement released by SafeData, the said company has inked a partnership with communications consultant Omni Solutions for providing virtualized recovery, electronic vaulting and telecom recovery services to various companies.

SafeData has just launched managed hosting disaster recovery solutions designed for IBM System I servers four years earlier. From then, it has developed and implemented the same features for Windows platforms. The company also added AIX under its program in June 2009, using the IBM blade technology. According to the statement released by the company, about 95% of clients under SafeData are running online businesses through the AS/400. Some clients also require disaster recovery plans for their Exchange servers as well as other Windows-based applications.
Omni Solutions has over 300 independent consultants in the US. The partnership deal will allow SafeData to provide backup and recovery solutions to a number of current and potential clients. According to SafeData President Peter Briggs, forging a partnership with the consultancy firm offers the opportunity for SafeData to expand its operations and help more clients in protecting various mission-critical data.
Omni’s consumer base is primarily composed of data carriers such as Quest, Verizon and AT&T. The company offers network consulting services covering topics such as disaster recovery and application protection.

SafeData, after the partnership, has become the exclusive disaster and recovery and vaulting provider for the Omni Solutions.
On Omni’s side, company president Randy Marshall notes that the new partnership will widen Omni’s range of services that are available to its clients. With the new SafeData deal, they can now offer complete data backup services and solutions that also have provisions for recovery.
