Omni Solutions Signs Backup and Recovery Contract with SafeData

SafeData has reportedly landed a deal with consultancy firm Omni Solutions under its business partner program.
In a statement released by SafeData, the said company has inked a partnership with communications consultant Omni Solutions for providing virtualized recovery, electronic vaulting and telecom recovery services to various companies.

SafeData has just launched managed hosting disaster recovery solutions designed for IBM System I servers four years earlier. From then, it has developed and implemented the same features for Windows platforms. The company also added AIX under its program in June 2009, using the IBM blade technology. According to the statement released by the company, about 95% of clients under SafeData are running online businesses through the AS/400. Some clients also require disaster recovery plans for their Exchange servers as well as other Windows-based applications.
Omni Solutions has over 300 independent consultants in the US. The partnership deal will allow SafeData to provide backup and recovery solutions to a number of current and potential clients. According to SafeData President Peter Briggs, forging a partnership with the consultancy firm offers the opportunity for SafeData to expand its operations and help more clients in protecting various mission-critical data.
Omni’s consumer base is primarily composed of data carriers such as Quest, Verizon and AT&T. The company offers network consulting services covering topics such as disaster recovery and application protection.

SafeData, after the partnership, has become the exclusive disaster and recovery and vaulting provider for the Omni Solutions.
On Omni’s side, company president Randy Marshall notes that the new partnership will widen Omni’s range of services that are available to its clients. With the new SafeData deal, they can now offer complete data backup services and solutions that also have provisions for recovery.

Codero CEO Is Top Entrepreneur and Business Leader

Codero CEO Philip Spencer has been named a Pinnacle Awardee for excellence in business and entrepreneurship for 2009.

The Pinnacle Awards honors selected individuals for their outstanding professional and philanthropic achievements. This year, the award was presented to Philip Spencer, chief executive officer of Codero, a company specializing in dedicated server and managed hosting solutions. The award was presented by the Johnson County Kansas Library Foundations.

Spencer was formerly the president and CEO of Everest Connections, Inc. The company is a cable, telephone and internet service provider that thrived in the face of larger competitors. Under Spencer’s leadership, Everest Connections grew and attracted revenues amounting to more than $60 million.

Because of this, it was touted as the second fastest growing company in the city of Kansas by Ingram’s Magazine and Ernst and Young.

In September of 2008, Spencer joined Aplus.net and implemented the creation of Codero. This became a new division of the company during the first few months of this year. When Aplus.net and its shared hosting business were sold to Hostopia in July, Codero began to focus its services on dedicated server hosting, high-end business solutions and managed hosting services.

Codero is currently headquartered in Overland Park and manages more than six thousand servers. The company’s data centers are located in Phoenix, Arizona and San Diego, California.

I’m very proud for being chosen for this honor, says Spencer. It is a big recognition considering that Kansas City’s business community has been gaining much recognition all over the world for its commitment to promoting the ideals of the entrepreneurial spirit.

The Pinnacle Awards was established in 2002 to recognize outstanding individuals in the fields of the Arts, Advocacy and Public Engagement, Education and Literacy and in Entrepreneurship - areas that Johnson County Library specializes in.

The Playstation Three Is More than Another Mere Game Console!

While a new video game console can bring your family entertainment for many hours, picking the wrong one due to bad information can lead to serious disappointment. When you are shopping for a new game console, you may find it difficult as there are so many different options to choose from. The information you are looking for can be very difficult to find, but you will find there’s a lot of misinformation out there.

What type of games do you find interesting?
Do you plan on buying an HDTV anytime soon or do you already have one?

What type of budget do you have to work with?

Which piques your interest the most, playing games with a group or the solo playing experience?
Do you currently have any of the old game systems?

The PlayStation 3 was the most pricey for quite a while. It’s a good thing that you will now find lower prices on them. Now priced at four hundred US dollars (contingent upon which style you purchase)this price is more comparable. Prices change constantly so chech the latest video games console prices online.

The PS3 is an experience, it is more than just a game console. As it’s compatible with Blu-Ray, CD, and DVD media, it also has the ability to play DVDs in HD. Blu-Ray is now the leading high-definition film format; thus, if you’ve got an HDTV but no HD movie player, a PS3 might be a great means of getting both your movie and your gaming needs met in just one place. If you aren’t viewing Blu-ray movies in high definition, you won’t see any better grade of the programs. This feature doesn’t translate well for use with a standard definition set.

While virtually the same as the PS2 controller, the controller features motion sensing technology known as Sixaxis. The controller can be tilted Six different direction for interactive game play. How well this is going to work varies from each game. Doing it well means you’ll gain lots of experience, doing it wrong means you’ll be nothing more than a problem. You need to keep in mind that the Sixasis controller is missing the vibration feature. The newly released DualShock 3 controller with vibration will not be included with newly purchased PS3s until June 12, 2008.

You will find a lot of the same games for Xbox 360 and PS3.
